Linen Peg Pant - $52.19 from ASOS  Now that I am doubling up with both a job and an internship, I have been thinking more about a professional wardrobe, and thought these pants were a great start.  I’m usually not a fan of dress pants, but these still feel a little bit more casual.  The linen makes them more lightweight and less formal.  They also are cropped at the ankle and are a straight leg which is pretty flattering on all figures.  My favorite color is the nude because it has a peach hue to it, which will be really wearable for summer, and could be paired with many different shirts, shoes and accessories.

Artisan De Luxe Diamond Embroidered Denim Jacket - $228 from Free People Summer’s almost here and I can’t wait to bring out my jean jacket back into circulation into my wardrobe.  This one is a bit pricey, but I like the close fit.  It’s also nice because it hits at her hips and provides a little bit more coverage than the cropped one I won.  It also has a little bit of embellishment and the fading makes it a little unique.  Jean jackets can be worn with almost any summer outfit such as the one shown hear with pants, or with a cute dress, shorts or a skirt.  It might be a little harder to dress this up, but definitely something that could get a lot of wear in the upcoming warmer months.

Carlie Wrap Dress in Mocha - $23 from tobi  I’ve been wanting a wrap dress for a really long time and I think this one is really pretty.  It’s in a lovely medium brown color that they call mocha that is very flattering and perfect for dressing up or down with fun colored/printed accessories.  The dress fits very close to the body and also is pretty short so not ideal for work, but with tights and boots or flats it could easily be dressed down.  Especially with the wrap hitting right at the waist it will give anybody that hourglass figure.  The model looks sophisticated yet sexy and still shows some personality with the statement necklace and booties.

Santa Fe Backpack - $58 from Nasty Gal After using a tote bag to carry my schools books and laptop for two years ( that led to bruising my shoulder), I gave up and got a backpack.  I got a cute black and white polka dot one from Victoria’s Secret, but it’s starting to get worn out and I’m thinking of getting this one for next year. Some of you might not agree, but I love having a backpack. It keeps your hands free and you can carry more weight without hurting your arms/shoulders. Also it’s a fun way to show your personality and pick a fun print much like this one.  This backpack also isn’t too bulky so it’s still manageable for day to day use.  This is cute enough to use outside of school, for day trips or when you have to walk a lot and have stuff to carry especially with the smaller extra pockets.

3/4 Sleeve Crop Tee - $8.80 from Forever21 Nothing gets me more excited than seeing a really cute shirt and finding out it’s also very cheap.  That’s what happened here.  I love the idea of a longer sleeved crop top and this one isn’t too short, which I also like.  It’s in this very pale peach color that could be paired (like it is here) with a very bright jewel tone bottom or really any color for that matter.  How the shirt is styled here, with the belt, skirt and clutch, looks put together and classic but not too dressed up. The scoop neckline and rounded hemline make it a little more delicate and fancier than a typical t-shirt. The shirt also comes in ivory and for the price you could just get both colors.

Shelly Summer Dress - $35 from tobi What a pretty dress. I’m not sure if you’ve heard of tobi, but if not, you need to immediately go there now.  They have so much cute stuff at reasonable prices.  My friend from Spain came to visit back in the fall and had a high-low skirt and I wasn’t sold. And now I’m posting a dress in that style.  I think it’s really beautiful and the front isn’t too high and the back doesn’t touch the ground so it works in moderation.  I’m also a sucker for white dresses especially for summer. The back also has a cute detailed with a lower v with two straps with an aztec like design.  I especially like it paired with the skinny belt as shown here. And this could easily be dressed up or down with a jacket or cardigan and different shoes.

Perfect Circle Skirt - $48 from Nasty Gal  I’ve been trying to find a basic black skirt that would be interchangeable with many things in my wardrobe and I think this Nasty Gal one might be it.  This skirt is just flouncy enough and not too billowy. It’s similar to the polka dot skirt I posted as they are both high waisted and flowy.  This skirt has a few more pleats and is more of a circle which I really like as a nice difference from the tighter high waisted skirt.  Also the model is style very cool and simply with a printed shirt and some jewelry.  This is another great versatile piece for your wardrobe, especially because it’s black, that can be mixed and matched with a variety of shirts, shoes and accessories.  It’s definitely something you need in your closet.
